Which Niches Make the Most Money

If you want to build a blog you are going to need a topic to write about!

Obviously you need to be interested in your topic or else you will soon get bored of writing it. We have already discussed that the key to making money online is generating traffic to your site or blog and the key to driving traffic is content. The content you write and the frequency you update that content is crucial to the future success of your blog, therefore you need to have an interest in the topic that you are going to write about.

I'm sure that it will come as no surprise to you that Making Money Online tops the list of profitable niches.

So which Niches do make the most money? Find out below:
  1. Making Money Online.
  2. Weight Loss.
  3. Quit Smoking.
  4. Credit and Credit Repair.
  5. Weight Gain and Muscle Building.
  6. Running a Home Business.
  7. Training Pets.
  8. Learning Techniques such as Memory and Speed Reading.
  9. Learning a Language.
  10. Relationships and Divorce.
  11. Gaming such as Runscape or Warcraft.

I found this list on a blog called More Money Blog and felt that I had to share the information; it's such an important piece of information to help give an understanding of the niches that provide the most significant income to the wannabe blogger.

It is also worth noting that all of the above list provide products or information that help to solve a problem. The exception is gaming of course which is a form of entertainment.

The main issue will be that the more successful the niche the more competitive it will be, thus rendering it harder to conquer.

I am pretty sure that in order to make a significant amount of money from blogging (especially via adsense) you will need to have a number of blogs in various niches. Personally I would build one or two blogs initially, then once you can update them simply (preferably once a day) and have carried out all of the relevant SEO work required start another one. Keep doing this writing articles that will be interesting for time to come until you have a large base of blogs for readers to visit.

Google Adsense - Introduction

Whilst many of you will know all about Google Adsense there may be a number who don't. This brief introduction to the programme is dedicated to those who do not have a clear understanding of the programme and wish familiarise themselves with it.

As the title suggests, Adsense is an advertisement application run by Google (there are a number of other less popular advertisement applications out there run by other companies such as Yahoo but we will deal with them another time).

Website owners or bloggers who wish to enrol in the Adsense programme can display text, image and video advertisements on their sites. The adverts are administered by Google and generate income, usually on a per click basis (this is commonly known as Pay Per Click or PPC).

Adsense is a great starting point for bloggers using the free blogging platform blogger (as I am) due to the simplicity involved in uploading Adsense to the blog. This is mainly due to the fact that Google also owns Blogger.

Although this is only a brief overview of Adsense as a whole, the purpose is to simply offer readers a brief introduction to the programme. You can read all the Adsense related articles on this site by click the link below:

Ei42 Shop Update

Here is some more Information about the Ei42 Shop.

For anyone that is interested Ei42 stands for: E is for Everything I is for Internet and 42 is the supposed answer to Life, The Universe and Everything else.

Click here to build your Ei42 shop, receive cashback on online purchases and start building your online network to start earning some serious cash.

Watch and listen to the vision of Ei42's Managing Director below:

The basic description of the Ei42 business model is that:

Ei42 is a business opportunity that gives you the chance to earn commissions as an affiliate and earn money by introducing others from your ‘social network’. You also receive money back on your own purchases.

You tell your friends and colleagues about this free affiliate shopping site and hopefully they will sign up and tell their friends about it. Any purchases they make that qualify for affiliate commission you get a 10% cut. Then if your friend invites someone else, you get 4% of their purchases and so on. This continues for 7 affiliate tiers (which will involve a considerable number of affiliates).

To Donate or not to Donate

In the beginning I thought offering visitors the option to Donate was a bit cheeky!

However, after reading an article by Steve Pavilina, I am starting to come round to the idea being a valid option to make money online. I have therefore decided to put a Donate button and page on this website.

In his article Steve Pavilina informs us that Donation's are in fact his second biggest earner behind Google Adsense (his site currently brings in $1000 per day, a very impressive sum!).

In fact his top six income streams are:
  1. Donations.
  2. Text Link Ads.
  3. Chitika Mini Malls.
  4. Affiliate Marketing Programmes like an Ei42 Shop.
  5. Individual Advertising.

To date I have only begun to use Google Adsense, Donations and Affiliate Programmes in my quest to develop money making strategies.

It's great to imagine a blog or site bringing in $1000 per day but it is also impossible to achieve without large volumes of traffic passing through. I have started to document my ways to generate traffic and will see how many visitors the methods described bring to this blog.

Anyway back to Donations!

The article continued, stating that an average donation is around $10, but that Steve has also received a number of $100 donations too. It is very simple to add a donate button via your PayPal account. Simply sign into or create your account, merchant services, click donations in the useful link section and follow the instructions.

By providing your visitors with a donate button you are offering them a means of voluntary contributions, should they wish to support your site/content. It is definitely a win-win situation as it doesn't cost you anything to set up and therefore qualifies as a genuine possible way to make money online via a blog.

Donations will give you a sense of pride in your Blog as it will give you an indication of the value readers put on your site. After all if they are willing to give money for something that could be free to them, then surely that has to be one of the highest complements.
